HOUSTON – The University of Houston held a commencement ceremony Friday for its 2017 class.
Hundreds of students walked the stage at TDECU Stadium to receive their diplomas.
Former California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger delivered the commencement speech to the graduating class, staff and guests.

UH announced in March via Twitter that “The Terminator” would be the 2017 commencement speaker.

Though the contract called for Schwarzenegger to be paid $40,000 for the oration, he waived the fee and offered his services on the house.
