HOUSTON - A METRO bus hit a horse Tuesday in southeast Houston, according to the METRO Police Department.

Authorities say the bus and the horse were both traveling in the 6800 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard near Kassarine Pass when the bus tried to change lanes and hit the horse.

METRO police say two people on the horse were taken to Ben Taub Hospital to get checked out. Both riders had minor injuries.
