Two dead, third in critical condition after shooting in Montgomery County

CONROE, Texas – Two people are dead and a third rushed to the hospital after a shooting in Montgomery County.

According to police, they were called out to the scene on the 1200 block of Winchester Drive in Conroe, where they found three people laying in the middle of Winchester Drive. 

Police identified the shooter as Daniel Outlaw, 35, and believe he opened fire on his ex-girlfriend and her friend, Jennifer Lee, 29, after an argument. 

According to authorities, Outlaw shot both his ex-girlfriend and Lee before turning the gun on himself. 

Both Outlaw and Lee died at the scene, Outlaw’s ex-girlfriend was transported to the hospital, where she is in critical condition and undergoing emergency surgery, police said. 

Police believe there is no other person involved, and there is no danger to the public.
