HOUSTON -  A tire blow out on the South Loop led to a Hazmat scare in southwest Houston.

It happened around 1:30 a.m. off the South Loop and South Post Oak.

The 18-wheeler was carrying hydrochloric acid and the driver was concerned there might be a leak, since the trailer dropped down.

Hazmat crews had to be called out and they determined there was no leak.

The freeway was closed for two hours while officials worked to clear the scene.
