HOUSTON – The case against Thomas "Bart" Whitaker began in December 2003, when his family was ambushed after arriving at their Sugar Land home.
Whitaker is set to be executed Thursday for the murders. His fate rests in the hands of Texas Gov. Greg Abbott.
