HOUSTON - Police said slick roads caused three different crashes Saturday night and early Sunday morning, including one that sent three people to the hospital.

Around 9:45 p.m. the Cy-Fair Fire Department responded to an accident on West Little York Road and Commerce Creek Drive. When they arrived, firefighters found two vehicles - both a pickup trucks - that were badly damaged in the crash.

Harris County Deputies said the first pickup truck was headed west on Little York Road and tried to change lanes. The driver lost control of the vehicle, and the pickup truck slid sideways into oncoming traffic.

Another pickup truck was headed in the opposite direction and couldn't stop in time to avoid hitting the first truck.

Three people in the first pickup were taken to the hospital. One person was brought to Ben Taub Hospital in serious condition. The other two people were sent to Cy-Fair Hospital in stable condition.

The driver of the second pickup wasn't hurt.

The two other crashes happened on the North Freeway. No one was seriously hurt in either of those accidents.
