Three arrested during search warrant in Texas City

TEXAS CITY - A search warrant led to three arrests in Texas City.

On Wednesday, officers said the Texas City Police Department was being assisted by Galveston police and Friendswood police as they carried out a search warrant at a home in the 3000 block of Somerset in Texas City.

During the search, alleged Houston gang member Samuel Hernandez, 33, was arrested, police said.

Hernandez has been charged with manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of a firearm, among other charges.

His bond totals $750,000.

Twenty-three year old Cassandra LaFuente and Jonas Rodriguez, 32, were also arrested and will face charges.

Police said they recovered guns and thousands of dollars' worth of drugs from the home.
