HOUSTON – Two families in southeast Houston hope surveillance video will help police catch two men responsible for stripping their trucks of all four wheels.
Both thefts occurred within hours Friday morning.
"They weren't scared," said Danny Arellano, whose truck sat on landscaping bricks Friday.
The theft occurred on the 11700 block of Kirkway Drive in southeast Houston.
Arellano happened to be awake Friday at 5 a.m. when he heard his dogs bark.
"I looked at the cameras on my phone," he said, watching two men remove the wheels from his truck.
"Looks like they've done this plenty of times," Arellano said, while speaking about the surveillance video.
In fact, police are looking into whether the same pair is responsible for stripping another truck of its wheels, around the corner.
Maria Leal told KPRC2 her husband noticed the wheels had been stolen as he got in the truck to drive to work.
Houston police are investigating both cases.
