Woman injured after car crashes into mobile home

Baytown police believe driver and passenger were drunk

BAYTOWN – A woman was critically injured after the car she was riding in crashed into a mobile home in a Baytown.

Police believe the driver and passenger were both intoxicated as they sped down Cactus Street around 1 a.m. Friday.

Police said as the car approached Tumbleweed Street, the driver lost control, hit a parked recreational vehicle and then clipped the RV.

The hitch that connects the RV to a vehicle went through the front windshield and then into the passenger.

The woman was flown to an area hospital in critical condition. 

The driver was not hurt, but was arrested on drunk driving charges.
