Victims ID'd in triple northwest Houston shooting

Shooting stemmed from a fight at apartment complex

HOUSTON - Houston police and Harris County deputies are investigating a shooting that left two men dead on Houston's northwest side.

Investigators said just after 10 p.m. Wednesday night, three men got into a fight at the Bristol Apartment on Greens Parkway and Grand Plaza.

When Houston police officers arrived, they found two brothers who had been shot. Both 30-year-old Johntrwelll Johnson and 37-year-old Deterrion Johnson were transported to Houston's Northwest Medical Center.

The younger Johnson brother died at the hospital. The older brother's injuries were non-life threatening.

Witnesses told police they saw a a white car with chrome rims speed away from the scene.

A short time later, Harris County deputies were called to am accident where that car crashed into a cemetery fence on Veterans Memorial Drive and T.C. Jester.

The man inside, 30-year-old Teriek McDonald, had been shot. He died from his injuries. Police said they recovered a gun in the car.

Police said any connection that McDonald may have had to the shooting of the Johnson brothers has not been confirmed.

Homicide detectives are now investigating what lead to the fight and whether anyone else was involved.
