Undercover drug bust at Club Kryptonite

HOUSTON - A five-month undercover operation led to a major drug bust at Club Kryptonite in downtown Houston.

The raid happened Friday around 11 p.m. at the club located on on Franklin Street.

The undercover investigation was a combined effort between Harris Country Attorney's Office, D.E.A. and the Houston Police Department.

According to officials, during the investigation, undercover officers made numerous drug buys from inside the club.

After the investigation was finished, detectives received a warrant to search the club Friday night.

Investigators said they found drugs on the floor of the club, including cocaine, acid, molly, marijuana and ecstasy.

According to investigators, aggravated sexual assaults have also taken place in the club. 

Detectives said they were told about a "rape cave." where people were given a date rape drug then taken into a dark room and sexually assaulted.

The club usually has guests ranging in age from 15 to 26 years old, according to Alan Rosen, a constable with Precinct 1.

Officers said they took four people into custody, but the investigation is ongoing.
