HOUSTON - Police arrested a driver after a chase through northwest Houston that included the driver tossing drugs out of his window, officials said.

Around 11:30 p.m. Thursday, an HPD unit attempted to pull over a Ford Taurus for a routine traffic violation, but the car sped away.  Officers chased the driver down North Victory Drive.

They took the driver into custody and charged him with felony evading and tampering with evidence.
