HOUSTON - Throughout Harris County, thousands turned out Saturday to vote in dozens of city and district elections.

One of the bigger elections concerned Lone Star College's $497 million bond referendum -- a funding proposal for capital improvements and new campus construction.  As of 11 p.m. Saturday night, 53.22% of people had voted for the proposal, and 46.78% had voted against it.

Katy ISD also had a close election to vote in its new school board members; Joe Adams won Position 1 by a mere 66 votes.  The final count for the three Position 1 candidates was as follows:

Joe Adams - 2,198 votes

Wayne Dolcefino - 2,132 votes

Tim Dietz - 185 votes

Rebecca Fox won the Position 2 spot with 3,486 votes.
