South Loop re-opens after sagging power lines cause slowdown

HOUSTON - Sagging power lines caused a major traffic slowdown in both directions of the 610 South Loop earlier today in southwest Houston.

The two left lanes of the South Loop west near Stella Link had been closed, and three right lanes of the South Loop east were closed. The feeder road was also partially closed.

CenterPoint Energy crews responded to the scene and fixed the issue. The lanes re-opened at around 1:40 p.m.
