HOUSTON - Houston police are asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect wanted in the fatal shooting of a man back on Sept. 11, 2011.

The suspect is described only as a black male in his late 20s to early 30s, about 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing about 150 pounds.  He was last seen wearing a gray T-shirt, green shorts and a white hat.

The victim, Marcus Keith Mehundrew, 26, of Houston, suffered at least one gunshot wound to his torso and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Houston police say Mehundrew was sitting in a garage at 7945 West Airport with two other people when the suspect approached on foot and asked for drugs.  When Mehundrew replied he did not have any, the suspect produced a pistol and fired several times.  Mehundrew ran down the driveway before collapsing.

The suspect then fled on foot into the Fondren Southwest Subdivision.  He was last seen running at the intersection of Secretariat and Sea Biscuit.

Anyone with information on this case or the identity of the suspect in the composite sketch is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
