Runners enjoy cool temperatures at Memorial Park

Big fall cool down is here

HOUSTON – The first 50s of fall arrived early Monday morning to the delight of Houston runners.

Local 2 caught up with runners at Memorial Park.

"It's refreshing. It's soothing and you can put more miles in when the Houston Marathon comes up," Jimmy Clark said.

"Nice crisp air, probably easier to breathe because it's been so hot so early in the morning," runner Tina Brooks said.

But not everyone loved the 50s.

"Is it good for running? It is in general, but my preference is the 60s not the 50s," Crystal Hadnott said.
