HOUSTON - Three men are on the run after a break-in at a northeast Houston convenience store, police said.

Around 2:30 a.m. Monday, Houston police officers said they were called to a store in the 3500 block of Liberty Road at Bringhurst Street.

Investigators said when the officers arrived, they saw a brick wall in the back of the store smashed to pieces. They also saw three men running eastbound from the scene.

Police said the officers followed the men, while other units set up a perimeter, but the break-in suspects got away.

Investigators said they are now working with the store's owner to determine if the three men got inside the store and what, if anything, was taken.

Police said the store was not open at the time and no one was hurt.
