Police release sketch of wanted murder suspect

HOUSTON - Police are hoping a newly released sketch will help them locate a man wanted for fatal shooting another man.

The shooting occurred at 17050 Imperial Valley around 3:10 p.m. on August 16.

Police said the victim, 36-year-old Marcus Williams, was at home with his brother and roommate when a man knocked on the door. The men opened the door and the suspect walked in, pulled out a gun and told everyone to get on the ground.

Officials said at one point, Williams struggled with the suspect and several shots were fired. Marcus suffered a fatal gunshot wound.

The suspect then ran away.

Police describe the suspect as a black man in his late 20s to early 30s who is about 6 feet 2 inches tall. He has a heavy build, short hair, a Louisiana accent and a scar by one of his eyes or on one of his cheeks. 

Witnesses also told police his eyes "squinted a lot."
