Police: Man caught on camera robbing Walgreens pharmacy

Investigators say the suspected thief posed as a customer

HOUSTON - A man is on the run accused of robbing a Walgreens store in the Washington Corridor.

According to investigators, the man entered the pharmacy on Studemont Street and Washington Avenue on May 12 around 1:00 p.m.

Detectives said as the cash register opened when the man was purchasing a pack of gum, the robber grabbed cash out of the register.

The man fled the scene with an unknown amount of cash.

Police describe the robber as a black man between the ages of 35 and 40, standing  5 feet 6 inches and weighing approximately 160 pounds.
