Police dogs track blood trail after west Houston break-in

HOUSTON - A burglar after high-end cell phones in west Houston is still on the run, Houston police said.

Houston Police K-9 units were called out the the Verizon Wireless store at Highway 6 and Westheimer Road around 3:00 a.m. Wednesday.

Detectives said the robber used something to smash the glass on the front of the store. 

He grabbed all of the cell phones he could carry and took off.  In the process, he cut himself.

Investigators had the dogs track a trail of blood leading away from the store.

Police said the burglar was not found.
