Papa John's in Houston donates to HFD

HOUSTON - Papa John's Houston is donating $1 for every large pizza purchased online to the Houston Fire Department.

Starting Wednesday, through Sunday, supporters can go online using the "FIREMANFUND" code to purchase any large $12 pizza.

The pizza company will donate the money to the firefighters who lost their lives or were injured in Friday's Southwest Inn fire.

Papa John's also donated 700 pizzas to 89 fire stations in Houston to the visiting firefighters who traveled from other cities so that Houston firefighters could attend Wednesday's memorial service.

Papa John's also donated half a million dollars to help Oklahoma's tornado victims over Memorial weekend.

"We care about our hometown heroes and love the people that protect this city, this donation and our pizza deliveries is our way to help Houston," said Keith Sullins, President of the Houston Papa John's Pizza Restaurants.
