New Caney mom killed in hit-and-run crash

Authorities looking for white van

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas – Montgomery County Deputies are looking for a driver they say was involved in a hit-and-run crash in Montgomery County Friday morning that killed a mother of two.

At around 7 a.m. 43-year-old Stacie Milholen was driving her two daughters, ages 6 and 16, to school.

She was traveling east on FM 1485 near Heights Boulevard when a white van pulled out of a nearby donut shop and into traffic.

"An unidentified vehicle traveling north on roadway which is the T intersection failed to stop at the stop sign," said Erik Burse of the DPS.

A man driving a black Dodge pickup swerved to avoid hitting the van and was t-boned by Milholen.

Milholen died at the scene. Her two daughters survived the crash, but were transported to Kingwood Hospital with injuries.

The driver of the pickup, a 20-year-old Splendora man, was critically injured and taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital.

Authorities say the driver of the van drove off.

"We are wanting to know who that person was because they are a witness that would help us understand better what happened," said Burse.

If you have any information on who was driving that white van, you are asked to call the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office.
