GALVESTON, Texas - A missing woman last seen early Saturday morning has been found safe..

Officials said Barbara Griffitts, 74, was at the Delanera RV park in the 10900 block of FM 3005 with her husband and daughter when she went missing.

Officials said Griffitts suffers from dementia.

Around 2 p.m. Sunday, a nurse and UTMB police officer were walking along the 9500 block of Avenue V near 1/2 street when they noticed Griffitts in some nearby weeds, officials said. This is about two miles away from the RV park where she was last seen.

Officials said other than being dehydrated, she seemed to be fine. She was taken to UTMB hospital. Investigators said there were no signs of foul play.

Galveston police said they performed an extensive search Saturday morning, but came up empty handed.

Officials said a bloodhound was brought in from Baytown to help with the search. Investigators also searched the surrounding campers and canvassed the area.
