HOUSTON - A man is dead after getting into a fight with his co-worker at a northwest Houston business, police said.

According to the Houston Police Department, the two men had just finished their shift at the Willie Trucking Company on West Little York Road and Yorkfield Street when the argument broke out Tuesday night.

Police say the victim, identified as Malcolm McCloud, was disrespectful to the other man all day in front of customers. The man informed a supervisor of McCloud's behavior.

According to investigators, when McCloud was told he was being fired, he began punching his co-worker and threatening to kill him.

Police said McCloud picked up a screwdriver and the other man claims he picked up a pocket knife to defend himself.

The co-worker stabbed McCloud, then tried to perform CPR on him, but the victim died at the scene.

The Harris County District Attorney's Office will decide whether the man will face charges.
