Man shot twice after argument

HOUSTON – A man was hospitalized after being shot multiple times at a northwest Harris County apartment complex.

Around 11 a.m. Sunday, residents at the Stirling Court Apartments on Jones Road said they heard a loud noise.  Little did they know, one of their neighbors had just been shot.

"I didn't know it was a gunshot," said one neighbor.  "I just thought someone dropped something."

Harris County Sheriff's deputies said when they arrived at the scene, they found a man in his apartment with two gunshot wounds.  According to reports, the victim and another person were arguing right before the shots were fired.

"Two suspects were seen running from the scene," said Sergeant Charles Nagel, with the Harris County Sheriff's Office.  "The complainant was actually airlifted to [the hospital].  His condition is unknown at this time, and it's unknown what the argument was about."

Deputies said two other people were in the apartment at the time of the shooting, but neither was injured.

The victim's name was not released.
