Man found shot to death in apartment complex courtyard identified

Neighbors report never even hearing gunshots

HOUSTON - Houston police are trying to figure out who shot and killed a man overnight.

Police have identified the victim as 53-year-old Moses King.

King's body was found on a sidewalk in between two buildings of the Stoneridge Apartments on Beechnut near Cinnamon just before 1 a.m. Tuesday.

"We know that a 911 call was made by one of the residents here at the apartment complex," said Det. Elil Cisneros. "They discovered the body of this individual laying in the sidewalk and immediately contacted 911."

Police said they don't have many leads in this case and neighbors at the complex don't even recall hearing gun shots overnight.
