Man exposes himself in Terry Hershey park

HOUSTON - Deputy constables said a man exposed himself in a popular west Houston park and remained on the loose Monday.

A woman told authorities she was walking along a heavily wooded hiking trail in Terry Hershey Park, 15200 Memorial Drive, Saturday at 1:45 p.m..

When she turned a corner between the 5 1/4 and 5 1/2 mile marker, east of Wilcrest, she told officials that a man wearing spandex shorts exposed himself to her.

"He was completely 100 exposed," said the woman. "A lot of times, I'm with my daughter. As a mother, my main concern is there's a lot of people riding their bikes and I just want people to be aware."

The woman said the area was one of her favorite places to run.

"Honestly, I'm afraid to go there alone now," she said.

Harris County Precinct 5 deputy constables are searching for the man.

"Actively patrolling," said B. Howard Harris of the constable's office. "We have a cart that goes up and down trails, and we are patrolling the major roads around the area."

Investigators said the description of the flasher matches a man who was seen exposing himself in the same park last summer. One case included a child.
