Man charged in June fatal shooting, accomplice at large

Okechukwu Oziri Nwosu, 20, is accused of murdering another man. He is being held on $75,000 bond.

HOUSTON – A Houston man is facing charges in connection with a fatal shooting in June.

It happened around 4:30 p.m. June 19 on the 11700 block of Bissonnet Street

Okechukwu Oziri Nwosu, 20, was arrested Friday and is charged with the murder of Nathaniel Foley and is being held on $75,000 bond.

Police say Nwosu and another man entered an apartment and shot three men inside before they fled on foot. Foley died at the scene, according to investigators. The two other victims were taken to hospitals.

The motive in the shooting appears to be drug related, according to the Houston Police Department.

Nwosu's criminal history includes two evading arrest charges and unlawful carrying of a weapon.
