SUGAR LAND, Texas - The Houston Texans fan who asked J.J. Watt for an excuse letter to miss work so she could attend his Charity Classic softball game Friday drove five hours from Brownsville to attend Friday at Constellation Field.

Ashlee Sanchez of Brownsville asked the Texans defensive end on Twitter to write a letter to her boss Monday.

"If only @JJWatt can write me a letter to excuse me from work on Friday because I already have tickets to the game and I can't miss it!!!" said Sanchez in a tweet to Watt.

Little did Sanchez know Watt would respond by writing a letter to her boss and posting it on Twitter.

"I mean, this is a no brainer. Of course I would like to help her out," said Watt at a press conference.. "If that's all it takes is a little note from me, I need to start writing some more notes."

"If he wouldn't have replied back, I wouldn't have been here," said Sanchez.

Watt's team won the charity softball team and together, he and the Texans raised $640,000 for the J.J. Watt Foundation.

More than 7,000 people attended the sold-out event.
