Immigrant stash house bust in southeast Houston

Federal agents have at least 14 immigrants in custody.

HOUSTON - More than a dozen immigrants are free from their captors after a dramatic escape Tuesday night in southeast Houston.

Houston police said one of the immigrants escaped from the home on Edgebrook near Radio Street around 9:00 p.m. Tuesday.

That immigrant managed to call police to the home.

Inside, investigators found at least 14 people being held against their will.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents will determine what to do with the people in custody.

It was unclear whether police arrested anyone for holding the immigrants captive.
