HOUSTON – Police are hoping newly released sketches will help them identify four suspects wanted in at least three home invasion and sexual assault incidents in southeast Houston.
Officials said the incidents occurred since August at the following locations:
- August 6 - 8400 Broadway about 6:15 a.m.
- September 17 - 4700 Anderson about 4 a.m.
- October 13 - 8900 Broadway about 9 a.m.
According to police, during each incident three to four suspects forced their way into the victims' residences and stole multiple items. Once inside, police said the suspects sexually assaulted the female residents, threatening them and their family members at gun point.
They say juveniles were also present during a couple of the incidents, including an 18-month-old baby.
"The children are being made to lie down and are being made to put their head down and are being threatened if they come up," said Lt. Ernest Garcia.
He said a few of the older children were also physically assaulted during the attacks.
Houston police describe the suspects as four black males. They believe the youngest suspect is 16 years old. Authorities said one suspect has tattoos on both arms, the number "469" across his chest, along with numerous other body tattoos.
Officials believe the same suspects are involved in all three incidents.
Investigators are also searching for a person of interest identified as LaTreyvon Rayshon Harris. He has not been charged, but is wanted by police for questioning in this investigation.
Officials believe the same suspects are involved in all three incidents. Garcia said concern is growing because the attacks have gotten progressively worse.
"In the third incident, the most recent being Sunday morning, that sexual assault was especially violent," said Garcia.
Two of the attacks happened at apartment complexes on Broadway in southeast Houston. People who live the area told Local 2 they hoped the suspects would be found soon.
"You hear about all of this stuff that goes on and you're worried if you're going to be the next person or not. You're trying to stay away from everybody and make sure you're not that person," said resident Candice Garfias.
