HPD: One person arrested in 2014 deadly shooting at NE Houston club

Investigators search for motive

HOUSTON – A 21-year-old was charged with murder Tuesday in the case of a deadly shooting at a northeast Houston after-hours club in 2014.

Byron A. Edwards is accused of killing Frank Leon McQueen, 20.

The shooting happened on May 29, 2014, around 4 a.m. at the Harlem Knights Club on Jensen Drive and Hage Street.

According to the Houston Police Department, officers responded to reports of a drive-by shooting and found McQueen lying in the street. 

He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. 

Investigators said McQueen was part of an altercation at another location before he arrived at Hage Street.
