Lawrence Taylor, 23, is charged with capital murder in the death of 67-year-old Russell Soltani.

HOUSTON - Houston police are searching for a man who fatally shot another man in northwest Houston.

The murder happened around 9:45 a.m. on June 11 at the 8900 block of Long Point Road near Campbell Road.

Lawrence Taylor, 23, has been charged with capital murder in the death of Russell Soltani, 67.

Police say Soltani was approached by an unknown black man in a parking lot. Witnesses told authorities they heard two gunshots in the parking lot.

Authorities say a black man was seen running from the parking lot with a gun in one hand and a container in the other.

After further investigation by the Houston Police Department, Taylor was identified as a suspect in the case.

Taylor is described as 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighs about 180 pounds and has scars on the left side of his face as the result of a car accident.
