The semifinalists for 2015 James Beard Awards have been released, and several Houston area restaurants and chefs are nominated.
Anvil Bar & Refuge is nominated in the Outstanding Bar Program. Hugo's is nominated in the Outstanding Wine Program. Both are located on Westheimer, near Montrose.

Four local chefs were nominated for Best Chef category in the Southwest: Terrence Gallivan and Seth Siegel-Gardner, from The Pass; Hugo Ortega, from Hugo's, and Justin Yu, from Oxheart.
The final restaurant and chef award nominees will be announced March 24. The 2015 James Beard Awards gala will be held in Chicago in May.
