Homeless man killed after tractor runs over him at construction site

HOUSTON - A homeless man is dead after an accident at a construction site in southeast Houston.

We're told employees were arriving at the HRT Construction site on Harrisburg at around five this morning, when a swingloader ran over a homeless man who was sleeping on the property.

The victim, who was in his 50s and not authorized to be on the property, was pronounced dead at the scene.  His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

Houston police say no charges will be filed.
