Digital content available for download at Houston Public Library

HOUSTON – Houston Public Library has announced a new partnership that will make thousands of movies, television shows, music albums and audiobooks available for mobile and online access.

The library announced the partnership with hoopla digital on Monday.

Library cardholders now can download the free hoopla digital mobile app for iPhone and Androids to begin borrowing thousands of titles available for instant streaming and temporary download.

This is a free service to Houston Public Library cardholders.

Customers will be allowed to borrow four titles each month. "Rental" periods are as follows:

  • Videos can be checked out for 72 hours.
  • Music can be checked out for 7 days.
  • Audiobooks can be checked out for 21 days.
