Bullet grazes woman behind northwest Harris County store

Deputies said victim was camping behind pharmacy

HOUSTON – A homeless woman is recovering at Northwest Memorial Hermann Hospital after she was grazed by a bullet in northwest Harris County.

Just after 1:30 a.m. Tuesday, deputies were called to the Walgreens on Highway 249 and Bammel North Houston Road.

When they arrived, they found two homeless women camped out behind the store.

One woman was grazed by a bullet, the other was not hurt.

Deputies said it was unclear who shot at the women and why.
