8-foot alligator spotted in Sienna Plantation

Video shows alligator that caught neighbors by surprise

Missouri City, FORT BEND COUNTY – Missouri City residents who live near Bromley Bend and London in Sienna Plantation spotted a giant alligator Monday night.

Residents say it walked from home to home going into front yards and porches.

One man estimated the alligator was eight feet long.  People took pictures and shot video as it wandered around not far from Brushy Lake.

Gilbert Rodriguez said the alligator sighting took him by surprise. "It was pretty surprising for me to actually be home to see it in your own driveway, taking a nap on your front door."

A pest control company came, captured the alligator and carried it away.

This is not the first time an alligator has been spotted out in the open in that area. In April 2012 a ten-foot alligator was seen around Sienna Crossing Elementary. That gator was captured and taken to an alligator farm.
