$5,000 reward offered for 2005 murder case

HOUSTON - It has been seven years since two young men were gunned down in west Houston. A $5,000 reward is being offered for information leading to their killer.

Nick Munoz, 20, and Chaz Kettner, 20, were killed at a gas station on Sept. 13, 2005. They were sitting in their car on the 2700 block of W. Sam Houston Parkway when they were approached by an unidentified man who shot them.

Munoz attempted to run, but collapsed near the door of the service station.  Kettner died where he was seated. He would have turned 21 years old the next day.

The suspect fled the scene in a green truck.

Anyone with information about the identity of the suspect is asked to contact Crime Stoppers of Houston at (713) 222-TIPS (8477). Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for any information leading to an arrest. Callers can remain anonymous.
