HOUSTON - Arson teams investigate a southwest Houston house fire that started in a detached garage.

Around 10 p.m. Thursday, firefighters responded to a house fire on Dumfries Drive and Mullins Drive.  When they arrived at the scene, they found heavy flames pouring out of the house's detached garage.

HFD said they quickly put out the flames and managed to protect the main house from the blaze.

According to reports, minor explosions from two grill gas tanks, which were stored in the garage, started the fire.

The investigation is ongoing.
