LA PORTE, Texas – Two La Porte men are facing burglary charges after being accused of stealing welding equipment.
Mark Woods, 34, and 18-year-old Austin Williams are charged with burglary of a motor vehicle.

It happened around 5:30 a.m. Sunday on the 11700 block of Bexar Drive.
Investigators say a resident called to report that several men in a maroon-colored minivan had just stolen welding supplies. The resident briefly followed the vehicle before authorities arrived according to the La Porte Police Department.
Officials say the minivan entered the Creekmont subdivision when it sped through a red light. That's when La Porte police turned on their emergency lights and say they saw a suspect throw the welding equipment out of a window before the van came to a stop.
