1 arrested, 1 wanted in fast-food restaurant robbery

GALVESTON, Texas – Police have arrested one man and are searching for another in connection with a robbery at a fast-food restaurant.

Galveston police said Roberto Perez, 20, and Jeffrey Quintanilla, 21, held up the Popeye's in the 3000 block of Avenue J about 8:30 p.m. on Oct. 21.

Detectives said Perez and Quintanilla, both known associates of the MS13 gang, demanded cash at gunpoint.

Perez was arrested on Friday on a charge of aggravated robbery, investigators said. He was booked into the Galveston County Jail with bond set at $150,000.

Quintanilla has also been charged with aggravated robbery. He has not yet been taken into custody.
