Texas EquuSearch volunteers continue search for missing teenager

HOUSTON - Texas EquuSearch volunteers searched wooded areas, waterways and in the weeds by foot and ATV in east Houston for a teen who's been missing since Saturday morning.

"What we do is when we look at one spot, he's not there, we move directly to the next and that's an elimination point for us," said Frank Black with Texas EquuSearch.

There are enough fliers with 17-year-old Antonio Saldivar's picture to cover the city, but it's not enough until his mother gets him home.

"I'm praying today is the day that we actually find him," said Salvidar's mother, Connie Netro. "I just want to tell him, 'Hey, if you're out there, come home.'"

Salvidar was last seen on Valentine's Day, when he took mom's car to visit his girlfriend. The car was found wrecked and abandoned on Harrisburg at Navigation early Saturday.

"Devastation. Just your mind starts racing. Can't sleep. I just want him home.  I don't care whatever happened.  I just want him home," said Netro.

Searchers have followed up on lots of tips. Nothing has proven true. Netro hopes that he was disoriented after wrecking the car. Searchers have no idea.

Searchers hope that someone saw something late Friday or early Saturday and will call police with information.
