HOUSTON – The Texans announced they have agreed to a one-year deal free agent safety Tyrann Mathieu.
Mathieu was released by the Cardinals on Wednesday. He was an all-Pro performer in 2015 and played in a ll 16 games last season for the Cardinals.

Mathieu has 11 career interceptions and four forced fumbles in his five-year career.
Mathieu will join a Texans secondary that struggled last season and joins Aaron Colvin, who was introduced on Thursday by the Texans after signing his own free agent deal, in their revamped back end.
