Texans host Patriots at NRG stadium

HOUSTON – Its preseason game two for the Houston Texans and the team is hoping to put this one in the "win" column.

Saturday's game is against the reigning Super Bowl champs, the New England Patriots.

"We had them last year. If we would have had an above-average quarterback, that didn't turn over the ball four times, we would have had a good chance at beating them," said season ticket holder, David Garcia. "I'm excited because I know we're going to go further in the playoffs this season. I know we are. We got a good chance, we got a better quarterback this year."

"We've got the best fans in the National Football League. They give us a tremendous home advantage. Best tailgaters in the NFL," said Jamey Rootes, the president of the Houston Texans.

What's a football game without the tailgating? If you're coming out for it, here's what Rootes said you need to know.

"Get out here as early as you possibly can," Rootes said. "Our platinum lots will open five hours prior to kickoff. Our regular gates open four hours prior to kickoff."

Kickoff for the game is 7 p.m.
