Teens say they were beaten up, robbed at Westfield High School

SPRING, Texas – Spring Independent School District officials and police are investigating reports that two teenagers were beaten and robbed on the campus of Westfield High School after summer school classes.

Nora Laguna, the mother of one victim, said it happened on Tuesday.

"My daughter is not going to be the same ever again." said Laguna. "She's having trouble sleeping, she's having crying spells, she doesn't want to go outside, she doesn't really want to be around people."

Laguna told KPRC 2 that she was home on Tuesday when her 17-year-old daughter called from school, hysterical, to tell her mother that she and her friend had been attacked on campus.

"She was very hysterical, screaming and crying, saying that someone had assaulted her, jumped her, hit her in the face," said Laguna.

According to Laguna, her daughter said 5 or 6 young men ambushed her and her friend, demanding their cell phones.

It is unclear if the alleged attackers are students at Westfield High School.

"They're not afraid of the police because there is not enough police presence there," said Laguna.

Laguna said she found her daughter's friend bloody and bruised, sitting next to her daughter, whom she described as "traumatized" and "panicking."

"Her face here was purple at the time. All this was purple. They had an ice pack on her face," she said.

Spring ISD sent KPRC 2 the following statement about the attack:
