HOUSTON - A man was taken into custody Saturday morning after allegedly attacking his wife and then barricading himself in their home in Northwest Houston.

Around midnight, SWAT teams responded to a call from the man's wife. She told a 911 dispatcher that her husband was acting strangely and had punched her.

When Harris County Deputies arrived at the house on Beaverbrook Drive and Regina drive, the man would not leave his home.

Deputies said the man had guns, so Harris County SWAT teams responded to the distress call as well.

After talking with officials from inside the house for more than an hour, the man finally walked outside.

Police then took him into custody.
