HOUSTON – Houston firefighters waded into a pond early Monday near Williams Tower in Houston’s Galleria neighborhood after a vehicle was found in the water.
The crash was reported about 3:20 a.m. near the West Loop feeder road and Hidalgo Street.
Firefighters said the driver’s window was shattered when they arrived and no one was in the vehicle.
Investigators said it appears the vehicle missed the sharp turn onto Hidalgo Street from the feeder road, hopped a small hill and ended up in the pond.
A tow truck was called to pull the vehicle out of the water.
