HOUSTON - A suspect has been charged in connection with several separate grass fires in Cloverleaf, according to investigators.

Fortino Barrientos, 56, has been charged with two counts of arson.

According to the Harris County Fire Marshal's office, the Cloverleaf Fire Department responded to several grass fires in 1100 block of Nadolney Road and the 13700 block of Nimitz Road on Oct. 30.

"The suspect confessed to arson investigators that he set the fires because he wanted to make the area pretty," said investigator Scott Schoonover.
