Surveillance photo released of suspect wanted in meat market robbery

HOUSTON – Crime Stoppers and Houston police are offering a reward in hopes of finding a suspect wanted in the armed robbery of a meat market on April 1.

According to Houston police, the robbery happened in the 4800 block of Irvington Boulevard around 1:35 a.m.

Police said the suspect entered the store around 1:35 p.m., pulled out a pistol, pointed it at the store clerk and demanded money out of the cash register. 

The cashier was in fear of being shot and quickly handed over an undisclosed amount of cash.  The suspect then fled in a black pickup truck. 

Video surveillance cameras captured the following images of the suspect.   

The suspect is described as 25 to 35 years old, about 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs between  140 and 150 pounds.  He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, blue shorts and black shoes.
